Kaizor Innovation Led a Pioneering Work Collaborative with the Hong Kong Design Centre on Introducing User-Centered Design Redesigning the Hong Kong Post Office


This is first of its kind pilot project bringing User-Centered Design methodologies and processes into the Hong Kong Government and public services sector. Kaizor Innovation led this project with the Hong Kong Design Centre, working closely with the Hong Kong Post. This work collaborative provided the Hong Kong Post a deeper understanding of users needs with User Research insights informing new business strategies and the Post Office spatial and services redesign.

Pioneering Joint Project Publication with the HK Government and the HK Design Centre on "Designing Public Services" is published


The publication "Designing Public Services: One-stop Employment and Training Centre" documents a pioneering collaboration between Kaizor Innovation, the HK Design Centre, the HK Government's Efficiency Unit, the Labor Department and the HK Polytechnic University School of Design is out. Kaizor led a class of 15 Master design students at HK PolyU through the User-Centered Design process and proposed innovative service design concepts to improve public services in Hong Kong. This initiative is the first of its kind introducing User-Centered Innovation and Service Design into HK Government organizations.

The article talks about how the recent financial crisis is due to faulty "design" of the financial system. It argues that User-Centered designers' focus on people and the ability to synthesize complex information and visualization skills can bring design to a much higher level of strategic design helping businesses and policies.
